The V-Twin D+D XL Rigid Frame (Part Number 51-0799) is a versatile and durable chassis designed specifically for Harley Davidson XL models from 1986 through 1995. Crafted in China, this frame provides a solid foundation for custom builds, allowing experienced builders to create a unique motorcycle tailored to their specifications. It accepts the XL rigid oil tank and the oil tank battery mount kit, enabling seamless integration of essential components for a custom or restoration project. Please note that this frame requires a custom 3/4 inch rear axle and mid-control mounts, and spacers with 3/4 inch flats can be used to fit the axle plates securely. The wheel adjuster blocks are compatible with 3/4-24 screws, facilitating precise adjustments during assembly.
The frame does not include forward control mounts or provisions for mechanical brakes but can be modified accordingly. Additional modifications such as weld mounts, tabs, brackets, and provisions for rear mounting to the fender may be necessary as the build progresses.
