The V-Twin 11-1157 Knucklehead Rocker Arm Set is designed for 1936-1937 valve spring cup and cap style covers where the rocker arms remain exposed. The center portion of each rocker arm is turned down to 0.80 inch, excluding the seal surface on the pushrod side, to provide additional clearance for 1938-1947 model lower tin covers. This set includes four rocker arms and is intended for applicable Harley-Davidson EL Knucklehead engine applications.
The right-side rocker arm features a ground outer diameter at the seal surface for single-point seal contact. Before installation, re-surface the head gasket by fly cutting or Blanchard grinding. Verify the bore size and select the appropriate standard, 0.010-inch oversize, or 0.020-inch oversize configuration as required. The rivet head that plugs the oil passage holes must also be removed before installation.
