The V-Twin Rigid Horseshoe Oil Tank Chrome is designed for installation on rigid original or aftermarket frames. Two provided clamps secure the tank to the rear fender cross brace, and an oil tank base plate is not required for mounting.
The front bracket includes a 5/16-24 thread for 1968-1984 clutch cables. The supplied clamps are intended for use with 1-inch cross tubes. Modification may be required to the cross tube or mounting points on some earlier and custom rigid frames.
This oil tank is listed for select Harley-Davidson FL applications from 1942 through 1956, including 1942, 1943, 1945, 1947, 1949, 1951, 1952, 1954, 1955 and 1956 models. Verify the frame configuration and mounting requirements before installation.
