GX Tank 140 Tank Monitoring for 4-20 MA, 1-10VDC Sensors - Monitors Up to 4 Sensors *Sensor Not Included
The GX Tank 140 takes readings from up to four tank level sensors. It is an accessory for our range of GX system monitoring products, of which the Cerbo GX is the most commonly used model.
Tank levels can be read out locally in the system, see screenshot, as well remotely through ourVRM Portal.
The GX Tank is compatible with current senders (4 to 20 mA) as well as voltage senders (0 to 10 V). The connection to the GX Device is via USB, which is also how the GX Tank is powered: no additional power wires are required.
Tank sender wiring is kept as simple as possible: two of the four inputs provide a 24 V power supply, to power the sender. The other two channels do require an external power supply, and there is power in the terminal together with fused outputs to facilitate that.
Upper and lower limits are configurable, to allow using senders that provide only part of the scale, for example, 0 to 5 V.
To provide a stable reading, the readings are averaged damping. The damping can be configured between 1 and 60 seconds.
Faulty sensors and wiring issues are detected: an alarm will be raised when values are out of range.
For marine applications, the GX Device can transmit these tank levels on the NMEA 2000 network to be picked up by other displays such as an MFD.

Designed as an accessory for the GX series monitoring devices, including the popular Cerbo GX, this system enables both local and remote tank level readings. Local readings are accessible directly through the system interface, while remote access is available via the VRM Portal, allowing for real-time monitoring from anywhere. The GX Tank 140 simplifies sensor wiring by providing two inputs with integrated 24 V power supply lines, reducing installation complexity, while the other two channels accommodate external power sources. This flexible wiring configuration supports a variety of sensor types and scales, with configurable upper and lower limits to suit different measurement ranges, such as 0 to 5 V sensors. The device features averaging damping adjustable between 1 and 60 seconds, ensuring stable and accurate readings even in fluctuating conditions. Fault detection capabilities identify sensor malfunctions or wiring issues, raising alarms for prompt troubleshooting. In marine applications, the GX Tank 140 can transmit tank level data over the NMEA 2000 network, allowing integration with multi-function displays (MFDs) for comprehensive vessel monitoring. Powered via USB from the GX device, no additional power wiring is necessary, simplifying installation and reducing clutter. Its robust design and flexible configuration make the GX Tank 140 an ideal choice for various industrial and marine tank monitoring needs, ensuring precise and reliable level management without sensor inclusion, which allows users to select sensors suited to their specific requirements.
