The Firebox M690 includes six 1 Gbps ports and two SFP ports supporting fiber or copper connectivity. Optional network interface modules provide additional configuration flexibility, including 4 x 10 Gbps fiber, 8 x 1 Gbps fiber, and 8 x 1 Gbps copper options. This adaptable design enables administrators to align connectivity with current requirements and expand network capabilities as infrastructure needs change, helping reduce the risk of costly hardware replacement.

Management is available through an intuitive console, scriptable command-line interface, and web-based user interface. Redundant power supplies help support high availability, while optional Power over Ethernet Plus ports can provide power to compatible WatchGuard Wi-Fi access points.
