During installation, all tanks or sets will require hand fitting to ensure proper alignment for the dash and fuel line fitment, and the dash may need shimming to achieve the correct height. The tank's design accommodates the stock dash and fuel line configurations, but it does not have holes on the left side for a shift gate, maintaining a clean, original appearance.
For optimal performance and longevity, it is recommended to mask or plug the petcock fitting during painting and to pressure test the tank with a sealer like Kreem gas tank kit to prevent leaks and corrosion. The tank can be used with the recommended #35-9190 Petcock Straight Outlet with Nut Alloy and #38-0312 Stock Style Gas Cap Set, both available separately.
